Poinsettia Peek A Boo Card
Contents
It’s Day 4 of my 12 Merry Days of Christmas Stampin’!
Today’s project was inspired from a lovely crafter Susan Levasseur and is made using the gorgeous Poinsettia Petals Bundle (#155148) and the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper (#153487) from the Aug-Dec Mini Holiday Catalogue (Pages 15-16). This was another project at our Christmas Stamp-A-Stack session this year and the gals really enjoyed creating this peek-a-boo card.

We started off creating all our die-cuts. And giving the poinsettia petals and leaves a light spray with champagne shimmer paint and setting aside to dry. I love the effect the sprayed shimmer paint gives, it really boosts the look of a project!
We then trimmed our card front, adhered our layers onto the Whisper White card front with the real red cardstock and designer series paper followed by stamping our greeting. Then it was time to attach our Real Red Ornate Border die-cuts to the window sheet before adhering the window sheet to the rear of the card front layers.
Once our petals and leaves were dry, it was time to lightly sponge the edges using the real red and mossy meadow inkpads and assemble our flower. We gave the petals a slight curl before attaching the petal layers with glue dots and adding those gorgeous Beaded Pearls. Using a large dimensional we adhered our flower onto the front of our cards and with a little liquid glue we then added the leaves and gold foliage.
Tip: We also die-cut a small circle to attach to the rear of the flower on the inside of the window sheet. This gives a much tidier look to the inside of your card when opened as it disguises the dimensional and glued foliage stems which makes it much more pleasing to the eye.
Such a gorgeous card to create!

Here’s a closer look at the bundle. I love how these dies emboss the petals and leaves and the paper is absolutely stunning!
